Felt Presence Open letter
Before opening at Felt Presence, the skeletons found a knitting pattern for a pumpkin cosy.
They made one sleeve, then another, then paused.
“Where do the arms go?” one asked.
The ceramic pumpkin said he preferred not to discuss his measurements.
By dawn they had knitted him a mustard-yellow waistcoat with six pockets. He filled five with acorns and kept the sixth for emergencies.
“What sort?” asked a skeleton.
“Small ones.”
The other pumpkins immediately ordered waistcoats.
The skeletons added a fitting room to the dollhouse. Its curtain was a postage stamp.
